The agriculture land in the Mediterranean Area is facing tough challenges and farmers are experiencing a critical time of change towards a new era.
In collaboration with UN SDG Solutions Network and SDG Academy, the Barilla Centre for Food and Nutrition (BCFN) developed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) named "Sustainable Food System: A Mediterranean perspective", as per Ipsnews.
MOOC offers the course with a purpose to provide an overview of challenges that can be used as a tool for implementation of SDGs.
MOOC offers an opportunity to gain knowledge from professors, leaders, and scientists to learn about latest approaches based on their experiences in the Mediterranean region. MOOC is a free course.
According to Ipsnews, The BCFN is an independent multidisciplinary research centre which aims to provide institution and media with the scientifically robust analysis in concern with food and its connection with the environment.
The course is offered to policymakers, stakeholders and students to counter the effect of overexploitation of natural resources, water scarcity food loss, and other challenges.
According to Ipsnews, United Nation has been continuously warning about the sustainable farming as it is getting more vital to the health of the Planet. Student and policymakers along with agriculture practitioners should grab this opportunity in order to gain knowledge for achieving the UN SDG Agenda 2030.
