Heat's Wade (personal reasons) out vs. Spurs

Updated: 07-11-2018 23:47 IST

Miami Heat sixth man Dwyane Wade won't suit up for Wednesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs, the first time this season he'll miss a game.

The Heat have said Wade's absence is due to personal reasons.

Wade came off the bench for Miami in each of the first nine games this season and is averaging 14.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 45 percent from the field.

Wade has scored 19, 19 and 18 over the last three games for the Heat (4-5).

The shorthanded Heat -- James Johnson and Dion Waiters are both recovering from surgeries -- recalled forward Duncan Robinson from the G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce to add some depth.

Center Hassan Whiteside, who sat out Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons, is expected to return vs. the Spurs (6-3), but guard Goran Dragic (sore right knee) is listed as questionable.
