A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Cross River state government and a China-based firm, Skyrun International Company.
The MoU is about training the required manpower on the state's core technical needs.
The Cross River state governor, Prof. Ben Ayade thanked Chinese firm for the partners and signaled that the state was in hurry to be industrialized.
"Your partnership in the area of human capital development, as well as technology transfer to our teeming youth, will go a long way in empowering them and contribute immensely to the actualization of our deep vision." said the governor
The Financial Controller of Skyrun International, Mr. Li Yangtua, has promised about honoring the terms of the agreement and he ensured that the beneficiaries will be fully supported in their respective need areas.
"We are proud to partner Cross River State Government in the area of human power development and will do our best to deliver on this promise as part of our corporate social responsibility," said Mr. Li Yangtua.
The National Coordinator of Nigeria China Business Council, Chief Matthew Uwaekwe also reiterated that this bilateral agreement would be an opportunity for the Nigerians to become employable and better their lot on the technological front.
He also said that it would be beneficial to give youth training in order to make them self-reliant instead of giving the handout. He said that this bilateral agreement will wipe out the vices associated with unemployment and restiveness. He reiterated that Nigerian youth needs an economical way of acquiring skill and technology.
