Vikings LB Barr (hamstring) inactive vs. Bears

Updated: 19-11-2018 06:48 IST

Minnesota Vikings star linebacker Anthony Barr will miss the Sunday night NFC Central showdown with the Chicago Bears due to a right hamstring injury.

It marks the third consecutive game that the three-time Pro Bowler has missed due to the ailment.

There was optimism that Barr might be able to play after he was a limited practice participant on Thursday and Friday.

Barr sustained the injury against the New York Jets on Oct. 21.

Among the other inactives for the Vikings was safety Andrew Sendejo (groin), who is sitting out his fifth game in a row.

For the Bears, receiver Kevin White was a healthy scratch for the third consecutive game. White was the seventh overall selection of the 2015 draft.

Chicago (6-3) had won three straight and held a half-game lead over the visiting Vikings (5-3-1) in the division race entering play Sunday night.
