Former England footballer Gascoigne charged with sexual assault - police


Former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne has been charged with sexual assault, police said on Monday.

Gascoigne, 51, a former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United player, widely known as Gazza, was arrested at Durham train station in August and later released while the police investigated the incident. (Reporting By Andrew MacAskill; editing by Michael Holden)
