Jaguars' Fournette, Bills' Lawson ejected after brawl

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette and Buffalo Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson were ejected after a brawl between the two teams late in the third quarter Sunday in Orchard Park, N.Y.

The players threw multiple punches at each other in a melee on the sideline outside the end zone that spilled up to the wall in front of the first row of stands. Fournette's helmet was pushed off as the two struggled, and both players tumbled to the ground.

The fracas began after Jags wideout Donte Moncrief made a 29-yard contested grab over Bills cornerback Levi Wallace, who continued fighting for possession of the football as the two tumbled to the ground. While neither player refused to give up his grip, teammates from both teams came to the area and got heated, with Jaguars wideout Dede Westbrook and Bills safety Micah Hyde at the center of one dispute.

Shortly after the squabble began, Jaguars running back Carlos Hyde gave a push to Lawson, who shoved Hyde back and drew the ire of Fournette, who came at Lawson swinging.

Fournette and Lawson were ejected after a long delay during which officials sorted out the post-play action and also reviewed the play on the field.

Initially awarded a touchdown, Moncrief was ruled down at the 1-yard line upon review. The Jaguars scored on a 7-yard pass to Westbrook two plays later, but a holding penalty on Keelan Cole nullified the touchdown. After a sack, Josh Lambo missed a 42-yard field goal to keep the game tied at 14.

Fournette had 18 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns before leaving. Lawson had no tackles and one QB hit.
