Alpine skiing-Norway's Jansrud prevails in Lake Louise Super-G
The reigning twice World Cup Super G champion and 2014 Olympic gold medallist started ninth and zipped to a time of one minute 33.52 seconds.
Austria's Vincent Kriechmayr was 0.14 seconds behind Jansrud with Swiss Mauro Caviezel 0.21 seconds off the pace for third.
Austrian Matthias Mayer, the reigning Olympic gold medallist, took sixth, 0.65 seconds back, with Swiss Beat Feuz, the Olympic runner-up, 10th, 0.97 adrift.
Beaver Creek, Colorado, will host the next men's World Cup races beginning with a Super-G on Friday.
