Vedanta Ltd Monday said it has featured on top in the list of the companies in terms of voluntary disclosure on their part.

"Vedanta Ltd scored 9.2/10 on voluntary disclosure in the ‘India Disclosure Index 2018’ compiled by FTI Consulting...," the company said in a statement. The top Indian companies together scored an average of 6.3/10 on voluntary disclosure, the statement said.

FTI Consulting announced the launch of its India Disclosure Index 2018, an annual report that tracks corporate disclosure practices among India’s top 100 publicly listed corporations.

External affairs ministry to explore investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia

* The economic diplomacy division of ministry of external affairs and Trade Promotion Council of India are taking a business delegation from sectors such as infrastructure and entertainment to Riyadh, on November 27-28.

The objective is to explore possible contracts and investment opportunities in the USD 500 billion futuristic mega city projects being developed in Saudi Arabia, the commerce ministry said in a statement.

The projects coming up in Saudi Arabia are part of ‘Vision 2030’, launched by the Kingdom, in order to shift from an oil-based economy to an industrial manufacturing-based productive economy, it added.

Freyr Energy raises Rs 27 cr led by C4D Partners

* Freyr Energy, a Hyderabad-based rooftop solar company, Monday said it has raised Rs 27 crore led by the Netherlands-based C4D Partners.

The funds from the investment, which is a mix of equity and debt, will be utilised towards strengthening technology platform and enhancing sales and marketing networks, a statement said.

The investment will help create 2,000 direct jobs and support more than 400 micro-entrepreneurs in the next five years, it added.

Uber introduces 'Uber Care' for driver partners in India

* US-based ride hailing app Uber Monday launched Uber Care platform in India that will provide its driver partners easy access to various insurance offerings.

The platform will provide easy access to term insurance from HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd and a family health insurance programme from Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd, a statement said.

Driver partners will also be able to use the platform to avail micro-loans from Supermoney (GetClarity Fintech Services), it added.

Ginni Systems acquires Zwing

* Ginni Systems, a retail software company, Monday said it has acquired Pune-based Roxfortech Infosolutions' product, Zwing, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will further strengthen Ginni Systems' position in the market, a statement said. \R

"With this acquisition, we will add a new dimension to our final point-of-sales experience at the store making it convenient for customers to leverage the latest cloud technology, artificial intelligence and omni-channel," Ginni Systems MD Prashant Lohia said.
