"Coffee consumption is growing in the long run, albeit very slowly. The Czechs are not a coffee nation and we do not drink 1.5 cups per day," says Doležel.

According to Dolezel, the already soluble coffee exceeded the sum of pots with ground or coffee beans. "The growth of this segment is mainly high-quality coffee in capsules, ground coffee for automatic coffee makers and premium soluble coffee," he added.

The segment of hotels and restaurants is also growing. "There are no significant innovations in coffee, but the requirements for coffee quality are rising, households are packed with capsules or vending machines, or they buy premium, soluble coffee to allow them to taste like a cafe, perceiving coffee in the cup as a marginal matter, we believe that consumers will win the comfort, speed and the same taste they love, "he said.

The trend with domestic coffee makers is confirmed by Segafredo, which has been operating in the Czech Republic since the 1990s. "The Czech coffee market has changed greatly since the 1990's, as compared to the past, the demand for coffee beans is constantly increasing in households, as it is common for households to have an automatic coffee maker or a smaller lever coffee machine with coffee grinders," she added.
