Turkey has no intention of harming the Saudi royal family, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday, adding that holding those responsible for the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi would also be beneficial for Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at a press conference at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires, Erdogan said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had sent his chief prosecutor to Turkey to investigate the Khashoggi killing, but he had not shared information with Ankara.

Turkey has evidence documenting Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist and a critic of Saudi Arabia's de-facto ruler, was killed in 7-1/2 minutes, Erdogan said. He said Ankara has shared this evidence with all countries who requested it, including the United States, Britain, Germany and Saudi Arabia. (Reporting by Ece Toksabay Writing by Humeyra Pamuk)
