Remi Pillot, a young aviation engineer has converted his Volkswagen bus into a kind of solar panel on wheels. His desire is traveling around the world in an electric van.

A 100 hp electric Ford Transit engine and a half battery pack from Tesla Model S powers the car. The solar panel that is fitted onto his bus can charge the batteries within eight hours, under the ideal circumstances.

He has planned to go around 30 countries driving more than 50,000 kilometers. His aim is to draw attraction towards electric cars and the conversion of other fuel cars into electric cars.

He believes that the conversion is very much easy and cost less than the cost of a new electric car. As the value of diesel cars are going down due to pressing environmental needs, he believes that there exists a big market for such transitions.

However, for his solar light bus, the cost is more than 100,000 euros, which is on the higher side and hence has to work more on this front.
