Governor of Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai speaking at an iftar dinner hosted by Iranian Consul General Mohammad Rafie in Quetta, said, Iran and Pakistan are two brotherly states having strong historic, cultural and economic cordial ties. On adding to this, the Governor said that there is need to develop a more strategic comprehensive plan for unwavering economic and business cooperation between two nations.

Governor Achakzai, said, "Both Pakistan and Iran have always extended mutual cooperation and stand shoulder-to-shoulder for regional peace."

On the occasion of Iftar party, Iranian Consul General Mohammad Rafie said that his country had always given importance to improving its relations with Pakistan. He also said that relation between both the nation Pakistan and Iran in the field of trade and economy were improving due to positive steps being taken by both governments.

On adding to this he said,"The trade volume had reached up to two billion dollars last year between both the countries." Iranian consul said that the joint border trade committees' meetings in Zahedan and Gwadar were very successful and had paved the way for promoting trade between both countries.
