Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is week-to-week with a knee injury.
The third-year cornerback has seven interceptions, including a pair against the Buffalo Bills, this season. Howard was hurt on his second interception of Bills quarterback Josh Allen according to coach Adam Gase, and didn't practice Wednesday.
Howard is fourth in the NFL with 12 passes defended and on Wednesday was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Dolphins (6-6) remain alive in the playoff chase and face the New England Patriots on Sunday.
