Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is being urged to give assistance to Libya returnees from the region by partnering with relevant agencies.
Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is being urged by the Niger Delta Youth Movement (NDYM) to give assistance to Libya returnees from the region by partnering with relevant agencies and embark on programmes that would discourage human trafficking.
The calls for the assistance were in a communique during National Executive Council (NEC) held in Port Harcourt at the weekend.
The communique was signed by the National president, Comrade Joe Jackson, and the National Secretary, Amakuro Isaac and noted that returnees would need assistance from the NDDC.
The communique also said, "NDYM supports the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), South-east, South-west and the Middle Belt for their position on the restructuring of the Nigerian state."
NDYM also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure more involvement to youth in electoral processes.
