Raptors G Lowry upgraded to questionable for Spurs clash
Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse now says there's an "outside chance" that All-Star guard Kyle Lowry will play against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.
Nurse made the comments before the team's shootaround in San Antonio.
The game marks Kawhi Leonard's return against his former team as well as the Raptors facing their old teammate, DeMar DeRozan, sent to San Antonio in July as part of the Leonard trade.
Lowry, averaging 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game, has missed Toronto's past four games with a back injury. He has not played since Dec. 22 and has missed eight of the team's past nine games.
Lowry received anti-inflammatory injections on his back on Dec. 29.
