Cowboys' Richard set for three interviews after WC game
Dallas Cowboys assistant coach Kris Richard is going to be a busy man this weekend.
First up, he'll coach the Cowboys secondary against his former team in Saturday night's Wild-Card game against the Seattle Seahawks.
After that, he'll take off for a whirlwind day of interviews with three NFL teams with head coach openings, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Richard is reportedly set to meet with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.
The former USC and NFL defensive back has emerged as one of the hottest names among prospective coaches after helping turn around the Cowboys defensive backfield this season.
Richards, who also serves as the defensive passing game coordinator, has earned high praise from Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli.
"Whoever is interviewing him, they are smart people," Marinelli said, per the Dallas News. "He's sharp. He's got great communication skills. He has a great background. He relates well with players. (He has high standards) and he'll hold you to the standards."
