"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" executive producer Dan Goor has said that the team of the cop comedy is geared up to come back but there is massive "pressure" on the showrunners to reconnect with the fans.
The show was picked up by NBC for a sixth season last May after Fox cancelled its run.
"We are committed to making the same kind of show for the same kind of audience. I always feel a tremendous amount of pressure to make the fans happy and make sure they enjoy the show," Goor told Variety.
"But it's more of the same, I hope, in a good way. I think you have a shorthand with your audience. They understand who the characters are and why they would act the way they do in certain situations," he added.
Featuring Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews and Melissa Fumero, the new season premieres from January 10 in the US.
