The head of Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on Thursday that a military operation to retake the oil ports of Ras Lanuf and Es Sider had started and he hoped operations would resume in "couple of days".

"After a couple of days we will resume, we start our operations hopefully," NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla told reporters in Vienna.
