The maximum temperatures today hovered close to normal levels at most places in Punjab and Haryana.

In Punjab, Amritsar registered a high of 34.3 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded a maximum of 35.1 degrees Celcius.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 35.7 degrees Celsius, two notches more than normal limits, while in Karnal the maximum temperature settled at 33.8 degrees Celcius.

Hisar registered a maximum of 33.2 degrees Celcius, down three notches against the normal temperature for this time of the year while Bhiwani's recorded a high of 31.8 degrees Celcius.
