Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said the Centre's public welfare schemes were transforming the lives of crores of people.
As per a think tank group, every minute, 44 people are being pulled out of the Below Poverty Line category, which has become possible due to the public welfare schemes of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Raje said at the BJP's working committee meeting here.
The two-day working committee meeting started today and party president Amit Shah will address the concluding session tomorrow.
The CM said as per the report, India was no longer a country with the highest number of people living below the poverty line.
She sounded hopeful for the upcoming Assembly elections in state and the general election, saying that it was time to unite for a historic win in both.
Raje said the state had progressed at a great pace in all areas in last four years.
Reality of the Congress is evident in its 'Mera Booth, Mera Gaurav' programme. It is campaigning for political aims and was least concerned about the people, she added.
Hitting out at the Congrss, BJP state president Madan Lal Saini said it was a party of a single family whereas the BJP in itself was a family of the people of the country.
He exuded confidence in party workers and asked them to spare two hours extra everyday for the party in the election year.
"The party workers should sleep an hour later and should wake up an hour early. They should dedicate the extra two hours for party activities," Saini told reporters here.
