A much-loved petition 'savelucifer' flooded by fans made it through to bring back their favorite demon after the cancellation from FOX. The show Lucifer was picked by Netflix after a massive campaign on social media for its 4th season by worldwide premiere on May 8th, 2019, and the reaction by audience outperformed HBO’s Games of Thrones breaking the all-time record by TVTimes’s binge report.

In the previous season, the loved demon Lucifer Morningstar was abandoned to rule his world as the King of hell after he left Los Angeles where he owns a night club and works as a consultant in LAPD. Earlier on 6th June 2019, Netflix gave a confirmation about Lucifer Season 5 “SEE YOU IN HELL” captioning, “thanks to lucifans. #lucifer’s story will comet an end the way it should be: the fifth and final season is coming to @netlix.” But the release date is expected to be delayed to the coronavirus outbreak.

Is there a release date so far?

The official statement read, “(Lucifer) Season 5 got a lot better and bigger”. The main lead Tom Ellis said: “Well look what happened! A 5th and final season of #Lucifer is coming to @LuciferNetflix thank you to all you loyal #lucifans for watching.. now let’s end this thing properly”. The show will consist of 16 episodes as 10 will be aired in the first half as confirmed by Ellis, “Netflix is going to drop eight episodes, and then there’s going to be a little break, and then they’re going to drop another eight episodes.”

The first three seasons of Lucifer were released by the FOX network on April 25, 2016, September 19, 2016, and October 2, 2017, respectively. The fourth season was released by Netflix on May 8, 2019. However, the official date for Lucifer Season 5 is yet to be revealed 'Lucifans' expect it to be in June or July 2020. It was earlier expected to be released by April or May but ith Lucifer season five set to wrap its production before the filming of its season finale due to coronavirus, delays are expected.

What’s up with this season, “the more the better”?

For a recap the last episode (10th – “Who’s da New King of Hell?”) we are left waiting for Lucifer’s return to Los Angeles. Moreover, we noticed some new cast members joining, Dennis Haysbert will be seen as 'God' as what we see from the sets of Lucifer and Lucifer and Amenadiel (his brother) will be seen spending time with the God. This season will also have one musical episode “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam”, which seems fun for the casts on the show and so to the audience of the demon. Kevin Alejandro as Detective Dan Espinoza, alongside Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez and Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, among others are familiar faces from Season 4 with Inbar Lavi back from the last season’s episode, “All About Eve”.
