Andhra Pradesh IT, Electronics and Human Resource Development Minister, Nara Lokesh, has extended an open invitation to NASSCOM members to set up shop in the state. This comes in response to growing concerns over Karnataka’s proposal to reserve certain jobs for Kannadigas, which has ruffled feathers within the IT industry.

The National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) has expressed their disappointment regarding the Karnataka State Employment of Local Industries Factories Establishment Act Bill, 2024. The IT industry body worries that the restrictions mandated by the bill could force companies to relocate due to a scarcity of local skilled talent.

Against this backdrop, Lokesh welcomed companies involved in IT, IT services, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and related sectors to consider relocating and expanding in Andhra Pradesh. He assured that the state offers uninterrupted power, top-notch infrastructure, and a wealth of skilled talent without governmental restrictions.
