The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has set 20 hours of hearings across two days to address the January in-flight door plug emergency involving an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9.
Slated for August 6-7, the hearings will each last 10 hours, covering aspects like Boeing 737 MAX manufacturing standards and inspections.
Additionally, the NTSB will evaluate the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) oversight of Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems, specifically highlighting the circumstances of the door plug removal incident in 2023.
