Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Private Limited (Henkel India) has marked the completion of Phase III at its manufacturing facility in Kurkumbh, near Pune, Maharashtra.
The site, operational since 2020, aims to cater to the increasing demands of Indian industries for high-performance adhesives, sealants, and surface treatments. The newly inaugurated Loctite plant is set to reduce dependency on imports by localizing the product portfolio. The facility, unveiled by Henkel’s top executives, reinforces the company's strategy in India.
Henkel's new plant is expected to address supply-demand imbalances in sectors such as manufacturing, MRO, and automotive components. The company emphasizes sustainability, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2030, and deploying Industry 4.0 technologies to optimize production efficiency. This expansion aligns with India’s 'Make in India' initiative, reaffirming Henkel’s dedication to the market and local community.
