IndiGo, India's largest airline, is set to boost its number of women pilots to over 1,000 in the next year, part of a broader commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
The airline, which currently has over 800 women pilots, is expanding its fleet and network. Sukhjit S Pasricha, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, highlighted the airline's 360-degree approach to inclusiveness, focusing on areas such as engineering and flying staff.
As part of IATA's '25 by 2025' initiative, IndiGo targets 25% female leadership and 50% female representation overall. The airline has also doubled the number of employees with disabilities, aiming for a more inclusive workforce.
