Ajeenkya DY Patil University Appoints Dr. Rakesh Jain as New Vice Chancellor

Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) has officially appointed veteran educationist Dr. Rakesh Jain as the new Vice Chancellor, effective from August 2024. Dr. Jain brings over 38 years of extensive experience in academics and research, having served on various state-level development committees.

Dr. Jain holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering, an ME in Town Planning, and a BE in Civil Engineering. He has authored multiple books and published over 150 research papers, making him an authority in transportation, geotechnical engineering, and town planning. In his new role, Dr. Jain aims to lead ADYPU’s transformation into a digitally advanced institution, emphasizing innovation and inclusivity.
