FX dominated the Emmy nominations announced Wednesday, with 'Shogun' leading the pack with 25 nominations, and 'The Bear' close behind with 23, setting a new record for a comedy series.
'The Bear,' competing in its second season, received nods for best comedy series and best actor in a comedy for Jeremy Allen White, who previously won both awards.
Noteworthy guest acting nominations went to Jamie Lee Curtis and Olivia Colman, adding to the show's acclaim. 'Shogun,' which benefitted from the absence of last year's top nominees, secured best drama series and acting nominations for Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada.
