After gracing the lavish wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Bollywood actor Ananya Panday is back to work. On Thursday, the actress took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her dubbing session for the upcoming series 'Call Me Bae'. Dressed in a sleek black outfit, Panday appeared cheerful, showcasing her personalized cup while smiling for the camera.
In her Instagram story, Ananya wrote, 'Dubbing for my fave girl BAE,' highlighting her excitement for the role. The series, 'Call Me Bae,' will feature Panday as the lead in her first OTT production.
Set to premiere on September 6, the show follows a billionaire fashionista, played by Panday, who is disowned by her family following a scandal, and her journey toward self-reliance. The series includes a star-studded cast with Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment with Executive Producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, 'Call Me Bae' marks a significant milestone in Panday’s career. The screenplay is crafted by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, and directed by Collin D'Cunha.
The narrative revolves around Bella Bae Chowdhary, a wealthy heiress who, after being cut off from her family's fortunes, strives to make it on her own. Disposing of her opulent lifestyle for a more grounded existence, she learns to value her street smarts and personal style. The show promises a blend of humor, drama, and emotion as Bella navigates through the social and professional spheres of Mumbai.
Ananya Panday is also set to star in upcoming projects 'Control' and 'The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair.' Her previous OTT appearance in 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav earned her widespread acclaim. (ANI)
