Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan accused the Congress of having an ''anti-farmer'' DNA, alleging the party never prioritized the farm sector post-Independence.
Defending the Modi government's agricultural policies in the Rajya Sabha, Chouhan underscored achievements such as providing remunerative crop prices and subsidized fertilisers, stressing the government's commitment to the sector.
He criticized the Congress' historical approach to agriculture, calling out mismanagement during the terms of various Congress prime ministers, and highlighted increased Budget outlays under the current administration.
