Josh Duhamel and Lukas Gage are set to headline 'Full Throttle Mindset,' a dark comedy crime thriller directed by Patrick Brice, Deadline reports. The film, inspired by a real-life story, portrays young burnout Blake Laubinger (Gage) being swept into the drug trade under the mentorship of Todd Beckman (Duhamel), a tanning salon mogul.
The production sees John Baker and book scout Robby O'Connor teaming up with XYZ Films. Duhamel, known for his roles in four Transformers films and a slew of romantic comedies, will also be seen in 'Ransom Canyon' on Netflix and Allan Unger's 'London Calling.' Gage's recent work includes Amazon's Road House remake and FX's 'Fargo.'
Director Patrick Brice, co-creator of Blumhouse's Creep franchise, brings his unique vision to the project. With hits like 'The Overnight' and 'Corporate Animals' under his belt, Brice is expected to deliver a compelling mix of humor and suspense, reported Deadline.
