Tragic Explosion at Fireworks Unit Claims Two Lives in Virudhunagar

An explosion at a fireworks unit in Virudhunagar district claimed the lives of two workers and injured two others. Chief Minister M K Stalin announced a solatium of Rs 3 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. The explosion occurred at Malli Utkadai Mayathevanpatti village.

Two workers lost their lives in a devastating explosion at a fireworks unit near Virudhunagar on Wednesday. Chief Minister M K Stalin has declared a solatium of Rs 3 lakh to each of the deceased's families.

The victims were identified as 65-year-old G Pullakutti and 35-year-old J Karthik Easwaran. Two other workers, S Bose (35) and P Manikandan (31), suffered injuries and are receiving treatment at the Sivakasi government hospital.

Expressing his sorrow, Stalin extended his condolences to the families and announced financial assistance from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
