Jammu and Kashmir celebrated its progress and peace under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who credited security forces for enabling stability and prosperity. Addressing a special event, ''Meri Maati, Mera Desh,'' Sinha highlighted the state's economic growth and commitment to social justice.
Sinha praised Doordarshan for its role in safeguarding local art, culture, and heritage. The event featured performances by folk artists and musical bands, celebrating patriotic themes. A short film on Jammu and Kashmir's development post-Article 370 was showcased.
Sinha extended his Independence Day greetings, honoring freedom fighters and security personnel for their sacrifices. He also lauded farmers, teachers, scientists, workers, youth, and women entrepreneurs for their contributions to the Union Territory's progress.
