Hungary receives gas shipments from Ukraine, pipeline operator says

Gas shipments to Hungary from Ukraine are coming on Monday, the Hungarian pipeline operator FGSZ confirmed, but it declined to name the trading firm delivering the gas on the route.
FGSZ said in a reply to Reuters questions that on Oct. 1 it launched its new interconnector pipeline that would deliver gas from Serbia under a long-term supply deal with Russia's Gazprom that Hungary signed last month.
"If a (trading) company gets hold of gas via Ukraine, it can continue to use the pipeline that comes from Ukraine and current shipments data show that there is a similar amount of gas coming from Ukraine today as via the new pipeline from Serbia," FGSZ said.
