Russia does not use its oil and gas as a weapon, a Kremlin spokesman said on Friday in response to comments by a U.S. official. President Joe Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan said on Thursday that "Russia has a history of using energy as a tool of coercion, as a political weapon."
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow disagreed with those comments. "We are convinced that this is a wrong assessment," Peskov told a daily conference call with reporters.
