An active encounter has erupted between security forces and terrorists in the Kastigarh area of Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, according to police statements on Thursday.

"An encounter has started in the Kastigarh area of Doda. More details are awaited," confirmed the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

This incident follows closely on the heels of another encounter in Doda where four army soldiers, including an officer, were killed in action while engaging terrorists. (ANI)
