Rafael Grossi, head of the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog, urged Ukraine and Russia on Friday to show restraint as intense fighting engulfs Russia's Kursk region, the site of a significant nuclear power station.
Russia's diplomatic mission in Vienna informed the International Agency for Atomic Energy (IAEA) about fragments found near the station, potentially from downed missiles. However, there is no evidence of a direct attack on the facility, according to reports from Russian news agencies.
For the past four days, Russian officials have been addressing what they describe as a Ukrainian cross-border military incursion into the Kursk region.
