China reported 986 new COVID-19 infections on Sept. 15, of which 161 were symptomatic and 825 were asymptomatic, the National Health Commission said on Friday. That compares with 1,083 new cases a day earlier – 167 symptomatic and 916 asymptomatic infections, which China counts separately.
