The Health department has taken a significant step to manage the surge in dengue cases by directing key government hospitals in Bengaluru to reserve beds for patients. This measure aims to ensure effective management and prevent dengue-related fatalities.

The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Service issued the order, noting the urgency to handle moderate and severe cases. Hospitals like KC General, CV Raman, and GH Jayanagara have been instructed to allocate 25 beds each, while taluk hospitals in Yelahanka and KR Puram will reserve 10 beds each.

This directive builds on previous instructions requiring bed reservations in district and taluk headquarters hospitals. The order follows the state’s alarming rise in dengue cases, which have surpassed 10,000 this year.
