The Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Richard R. Verma, will spearhead US delegations to Nepal on August 16 and India from August 17-22. The visit aims to bolster a prosperous, secure, and resilient future for both nations, according to the US Department of State.

In New Delhi, Deputy Secretary Verma will engage with senior government officials, climate leaders, as well as aerospace academics and industry representatives. The discussions will focus on a variety of issues including economic development, clean energy, climate action, and STEM education. Joining Verma in India will be Senior Advisor to the President for International Climate Policy John Podesta and Deputy Secretary of the US Department of Energy David Turk.

During the Nepal visit, the delegation will meet with senior government officials, development professionals, and business leaders to align on shared priorities such as economic development, women's empowerment, energy, and fostering people-to-people ties.
