A fire broke out in a market area in Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur on Sunday morning, gutting three shops and a godown, police said.

No person was reported to be injured in the blaze which erupted at around 5.30 am near Phool Chowk area, Moudhapura police station house officer Nitesh Thakur said.

A wedding cards shop, an electronic gadgets outlet, another shop and a godown were gutted in the fire, he said.
