In an impressive feat, Indore city police successfully cracked a bank robbery case within 12 hours by meticulously scanning footage from 1,172 cameras. The suspect, an ex-serviceman, allegedly made away with Rs 6.5 lakh from a nationalised bank.
The police recovered Rs 3 lakh from the suspect’s house, located in Shyam Nagar. Despite recovering crucial evidence like a raincoat, shoes, bag, motorcycle, and a 315-bore gun used in the crime, the suspect, Arun Kumar Singh, remains at large.
Indore Police Commissioner Rakesh Gupta confirmed that a dedicated team traced Singh to his residence through extensive CCTV surveillance. Singh's wife revealed he handed over the money and disappeared. A police team has been dispatched to Singh's hometown in Etah district, Uttar Pradesh, in search of him.
