Police on Wednesday announced a breakthrough in the murder case of former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahni's father, arresting the main suspect who confessed to his involvement.
Earlier, four individuals, including the prime suspect, were detained for interrogation over the killing of Jitan Sahni, father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni.
The accused, Qazim Ansari, admitted during questioning that he owed Rs 1.5 lakh to Sahni's father against a land deal. Unable to repay, Ansari and his associates demanded the land documents from Sahni, who refused, leading Ansari to stab him. Police have registered a case and are searching for Ansari's associates.
