Russian and Chinese ships have successfully concluded joint naval exercises in the South China Sea this week, rehearsing anti-submarine operations, naval combat, and air defense, according to Russia's TASS news agency.
The drills, dubbed 'Maritime Cooperation 2024,' aimed to enhance naval cooperation and stability in the Asia-Pacific, with activities including joint artillery firing and search and rescue operations at sea.
These exercises mark another step in the strategic military partnership between the nations, as tensions rise in the region, particularly involving territorial disputes in the South China Sea.
