Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has indicated that Russia does not exclude the possibility of deploying missiles armed with nuclear warheads in retaliation to the United States' missile deployment in Germany. The Interfax news agency reported the statement on Thursday.

The United States plans to begin the deployment of long-range fire capabilities in Germany starting in 2026. This move is intended to showcase the U.S.'s unwavering commitment to NATO and European defense, as emphasized in a joint statement released by the two countries last week.
