The AAP government assured the Delhi High Court on Thursday that it will take swift action to rescue minors trafficked from various parts of the country and forced to work as bonded labourers in Delhi.

A bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela emphasized the issue as an absolute priority, instructing the Delhi government counsel to file a status report on the actions taken.

The court heard a PIL by petitioner Rohtas, who works with NGO 'Sahyog Care For You'. He reported 18 complaints about children working in hazardous conditions. The government counsel noted a meeting occurred but stated no actionable information has been provided. The court urged mutual trust and cooperation to resolve the issue promptly.
