Consensus Key for Uniform Civil Code: Nadvi Advocates for Inclusivity

Samajwadi Party MP Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi has emphasized the need for consensus before implementing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), arguing that any forced move to introduce such a law would go against the Constitution.

During an interaction with PTI editors, Nadvi highlighted the necessity of prioritizing education and health for the development of all communities, including Muslims. The imam-turned-politician also dismissed any claims of internal opposition to his candidacy within his party.

Discussing issues like the renaming of places, Nadvi asserted that true progress requires practical work rather than superficial changes. He also expressed his commitment to serving both his religious and political roles, pointing out the historic significance of his mosque and its relationship with Indian leaders.
