Philippines and China: Tension at Scarborough Shoal

Despite the agreement, actions by the Chinese air force over the disputed shoal have been condemned by the Philippine Navy as aggressive. The Chinese side maintains its maneuvers were professional and lawful, underscoring the continuing friction over sovereignty claims in the area.
