Germany's Border Control Success Could Lead to Extension Beyond December

Germany might extend its border controls beyond December 15 as they have shown significant success in curbing smugglers and irregular migration, the country's interior minister stated.

These measures have been effective and will probably remain until the European asylum system is put into place, said Nancy Faeser on Tuesday.

The border controls aim to maintain security and manage migration efficiently until a coordinated European approach is established.
