Supreme Court to Hear Arvind Kejriwal's Pleas Against Delhi High Court Orders

The Supreme Court will hear Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea contesting the Delhi High Court's decision that upheld his arrest by the CBI in the excise policy scam on August 14.

In a separate case, the top court will also review Kejriwal's bail application. The hearing, requested urgently by senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, was scheduled by Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan.

The Delhi High Court confirmed the legality of Kejriwal’s arrest, citing evidence that could potentially influence witnesses willing to testify only after his arrest. The high court asserted no malice by the CBI and recommended he apply for regular bail.
