A tragic incident has unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli district. A 35-year-old forest guard named Shital Singh Gaud was allegedly mowed down by a transport vehicle driven by local fruit vendor Kamlesh Saket, in what preliminarily appears to be a retaliation act stemming from a past dispute, according to local police reports.
Eyewitnesses and villagers assert that after the deliberate collision, Gaud's motorcycle was dragged for a distance before Saket fled the scene. The incident took place in Darbari Nala village, located about 80 kilometers from the district headquarters.
Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP), Ashish Jain, mentioned that a murder case has been registered against Saket under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. A search operation is underway to apprehend Saket, who fled with his vehicle and family. The local community has staged protests demanding justice for Gaud. Further investigation is ongoing.
